The Boss!
See this as a follow up to my recent post about Pocketknife.
The last couple of days i've been listening to his and Cousin Coles remix Ep, it's just so fucking great.
So it's only right I give ya'll this.

Multi kulti
Somehow i've become the dude in the crew who always plays shit from strange strange far off places. Ruben only plays stuff from Gothenburg and Paris, Pierre plays stuff from Rennes, Jerry from Baltimore and I, I think I got every other city south of the equator.
Cumbia has been the talk of the town for a while now and since I have a weak spot for everything latino (I even have Camisa negra on my ipod!) let's check it out:
Daleduro - Bombon Asesino
This is from Bersa Discos mix "Bersa Discos #1" and I dont even know how to describe it. Kinda clean, funky electroish latinoish.. kind of..
Coteau De Poche
Last venue we played started out with some two-hours of lounge-mixing. I played a couple of Pocketknife-songs, and we all agreed round the mixer, that we totally adore the dude.
Thus i give thee two Pocketknife tunes made for relaxing times. As would Bob Harris say.
Adele - Hometown Glory (Pocketknife Rmx)
Alicia Keys - No One (Pocketknife Rmx)

Mad Kidz
La bonne recette de comment construire un enfant Dbty idéal :
Pas de dents.
Moche.
Transpirant.
Un peu gros.
Sale.
Excité.
Pas beaucoup de cheveux.
Pas gentil.
Pas doué à danser.
Bourré.
Défoncé.
Et voilà !
Un Mad Kid.

Saturday is karate-time!
So, saturday it's time for our monthly Pleasant-gig. The last time we got the dance floor so hot and steamy that all electronic music-equipement actually shut down four times. (True story ftw!)
Well we'll keep an extra window open this time. If it's to hot anyway, i'll kick a hole in the wall like if I was Karate-kid.
Close your eyes, listen to this piece of cheesy electro and start dreaming of this week-end.
That's what I'm doing.

Happy birthday!
A good friend of mine really doesn't like reggae. He actually dislikes it so much that he owns an old Trojan collection box. He actually dislikes it so much that he can sing along with all the songs on that box. He actually dislikes it so much that he tries to get poor rastas on the night bus to listen to it as well.
It was his birthday the other day and I thought I would buy him another nice compilation that he could dislike. You know, so he doesn't get bored of disliking the first one. So I went to a small reggae store here in Stockholm named Bashment, and a couple of minutes and a really strange conversation later, I went out with this: Rougher than rough
It was kind of a wild shot, but it's a perfect album - filled with old, noisy horns and amazing vocals..

DBTY at Le Grand Bleu
Our french section is playing at what seems a pretty huge party tomorrow, DBTY at Le Grand Bleu.
Dbty-members playing are Sisquo, Holly Djee and Super F. We can't be there but we'll be preparing for the huge chain-handover party in to weeks at Pleasant instead.
If you're living in Bretagne though, there's no other place you should be than with our Ne Blameons Pas La Jeunesse-homies.
In Stockholm we feel like The Bumblebeez - we wan't to go to Rio.

Sveglia! Dormiglone!
Believe you me when I tell ya'll that i've been working for two hours this early and all (my computers watch is showing 08:39).
My girlfriend worked the early shift this morning, and I was all solidary and got up the same time as she. Like six o clock dammit.
The only thing keeping me awake at the moment is my third cup of cofee and the Crookers tune Sveglia on repeat in my Itunes. This edgy, panic pumping dedication to the early hours of the day is totally worth a post. A little dedication to all y'all sleeping out there.
SVEGLIA!

Toddla-Boy I choose YOU!
As our most faithful readers probably remembers, I discovered Toddla T some time ago, by being threathened to death by a really dangerous dude in red stripes. Well he's back (toddla that is, not that dangerous stripe-guy). Love the blip blop that enters after a good one and a half min. Listen and enjoy!
Meddle - Toddla T Remix
This second one is a freebe - decided to add it cus it has pretty much the exact same drums as the Toddla track. Fun facts etc.

What is in the bag
It's been a long time coming. No it hasn't, but I haven't published any theme-posts for a while, so here we go.
I actually thought Cobrastyle by Teddybears was a completely cheesy song the first time I heard it. The nerdy combination of Teddybears ever so pop productions with a certain fluff to them, and the kinda goofy lyrics by mad cobra.
However there's something undeniable in this tune, and hence these three remixes are quite cool listening to, comparing and smile at.
I for one prefer the Radioclit version. It's chaotic yet calm in a surrealist kinda way.

While I was tripping balls-
You guys know how hard it is to find a gold and yellow three stripe adidas tracksuit? It's hard, take my word for it. Now Im not your best, nor average shopper, I usually just shop in second hand stores, and I often look like comic book store guy from the Simpsons while doing it. So for me to find a green and gold three stripe tracksuit would be the normal person equivalent (in hardness) to...building a small cottage, or trying to make your DOTA addiction sound cool infront of girls at the night bus. Fuck, I lost my train of thought. Anyways, the chance of me actually finding said tracksuit is nigh impossible. I had pretty much given up hope of ever getting my hands on a gold and green tracksuit, untill the day after midsummer. The day after midsummer, I woke up in a pair of silk pyjamas, with an empty bowl of pasta on my belly (a living fat joke right there). After about half an hour of attempting to stand up, my head was killing me, my belly was making "What's goin on up in this piece" type noises. Far be it for me to try and further bore you with details of how hungover I was, but think of all the lame hangover metaphors of all the college movies in the world put into a blender, mixed with sambuca and served in the rotting carcass of a baby deer. That graphic enough for you? Anyways, I knowthe people I hang with, and I know that attempting to get people I hang out with after a drinking binge like midsummers to do something other than watch reruns of Battlestar galactica is nigh impossible. Hell, getting me do that shit is impossible, since Im the laziest guy I know. I would say that it is as impossible as finding a gold and green tracksuit. Now, you see where this is going? I didnt see where it was going, one minute I was laying on my couch trying to send the morse code for "Kill me by putting me in the washer/dryer" to my roommates, and the next moment I've washed up, put on my big boy clothes and am drinking a beer in the club, thinking "What about bärs och järn?". Are you lame? Are you blind? DBTY can make it well, sing halleluljah, they achieved the impossible, they filled a club the day after midsummer.
So now, I feel confident that if they can fill a club with happening people the day after midsummer, I can find my damn tracksuit, 'nuff said.
Took me long enough to get to the point? Well this is my first blogpost, ever. It's my pleasure to with this somewhat inane post have a chance to give you guys this bitchin tune, fresh from V's table, enjoy! I know I do.

Good news is good news!
Dbty member Pipi, or rather known as Super F when dj:ing, is now visiting the other half of the infamous dbty-crew in Stockholm.
Good news is that he'll probably move to Sweden starting from this autumn. Hence all gigs further on we'll include our baugette-homie!
Sweetnez.
This is a treat to feast his soon to be arrival: welcome home Super F!
