The Downturn

So, there's a lot of talk about The Big Downturn in the economy nowadays. I don't know, I quit my job right in time for the shit to hit the fan so I'm pretty sure my empty wallet is mostly my fault.

But that it would go this far, I had no idea:

Hmm, for as long as I've listened to hiphop and r&b - and now I'm talking about the 'comercial' side of the genres - one of the biggest subjects always has been to show of all the money you got. How much champagne you can afford, Cristal, Courvoisier, Patron etc. And how much girls you got around you...
You know all you gotta do is tell me what you zippin on/and I promise Ima keep it coming all night long. That kind of shit...
You really know that the economy is going south when even the blingblingy showoffs of hiphop gets all cheap and grumpy and greedy...

And speaking of Patron, since it's been such a big buzz about that here lately (some advertising agency must be doing something right), heres a big tune:

Its about time we write something about Trey up in here. I mean, every other blog has already done it..

It can be funny when a song samples another song. And when a song samples another song that has tortured our ears for years it can be even more fun.
BUT! When the song that samples the song that has tortured our ears for years features Rhianna, you know that not only will you be reminded of the original song that tortured our ears for years, the song that samples the song that tortured our ears for years probably will end up torture our ears for years as well. (if you dont have a clue of what i'm talking about, clicketiclick)

But no worries, my new found friend Trey Songz has a solution: He samples the song that sampled the song that tortured our ears for years, and now, no more ear-torturing, only smooth Trickytrey doing his thang, samples the samples, saving our ears, for you baby, the world; youtube, comments, blogs, boards..

Culture steak-frites

 Vive le steack-haché, frites, béarnaise. La plupart des français touristes qui s'expatrient ont la facheuse tendance à s'approprier les coutumes locales des pays visités. C'est mal.

Je fais la même chose. C'est triste. Je sais pas, le français serait-il trop fier ? Certes, on réalise encore de très belles choses. Beaucoup nous envie notre chère culture. 

J'ai souvent l'appréhension de faire, de dire, de penser certaines choses qui ne serait pas "comme il faut". C'est triste. Ce n'est qu'une appréhension, un doute. La folie, la passion, le plaisir et la raison l'emporteront toujours.
